THE HEALING POWER OF

As a first generation Mexican American, I was inspired by the strong women in my family who used their handmade crafts as a form of expression and livelihood. I am always learning about my cultural heritage and am proud to be a descendant of great artisanal ancestors.

The healing power of creativity is life changing. Just ask Ursula.

Ursula's journey started early on. She is a mother of two, a wife, and a former corporate artist. Simply put, she was a perfectionist who put everyone else ahead of herself, often at the cost of her own mental well-being.

This was especially true when it came to her corporate artwork: she was committed to creating beautiful pieces that would sell well and make others happy. Walk the aisles of any Michael’s Arts and Crafts store and you’ll see her stunning craftsmanship: the Viva Tu Heritage collection.
After years in this cycle of self-sacrifice, Ursula suffered from burnout and depression—and she wasn't alone.

A woman’s life can be hard: work, home, kids, husband… the list goes on! When you're trying to keep it all together and still feel like you don't have enough time for yourself, it's easy to lose sight of what matters most—your health and happiness.

“I hope to craft a legacy where mujeres feel seen, heard, and supported because there is healing through connection with tu comunidad.”

GUIDING YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY OF HEALING THROUGH

Luckily, Ursula found herself again through therapeutic arts and crafts. Just as she connected to her inner mija through craft and creativity, she developed a strong sense of self-worth—and now she wants to share her learnings with other women who are also in need of rest and recovery.

CREATIVE ARTS AND CRAFTS

That's why she created Soleil Vida Studio: A creative women’s healing place where women can come together in community as they heal through arts and crafts. She wants to help women find their inner GLOW-up by reminding them that when you choose to discover your unique self, true beauty is revealed.

We believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to cultivate her inner mija: Their innermost child full of curiosity, playfulness, and creativity. By validating her and nurturing her with creativity, you become full of self-worth and empowered to radiate with confidence.

Mission

To create a support system of mujeres who want to be seen, heard, and creative on their inner GLOW-up journey.

The future holds a generation of mujeres that radiate and model self-love, regulate their emotions and creatively live su vida abundantly.

Vision

IN HER OWN WORDS:

A note from Ursula Rodriguez

When COVID-19 hit, for the first-time in my life I was able to admit I had anxiety. In October of 2022, I broke. The mask came off and I could no longer hide it.

I began to have panic attacks at work, was diagnosed with ADHD at age 35, and was either on the edge of a depression or a breakthrough. I could no longer suppress my emotions, so I began to work on processing my trauma.

During my self-discovery journey, I took time off to rest, sit with myself, and began therapy. From living in a constant state of survival mode to actively working on developing a sense of self, the cocoon state of healing was just what I needed to rebalance my nervous system.

My catalyst for self-healing was breaking the cycle of generational trauma so my two toddlers (Luna, 5 and Phoenix, 2) would get a fresh start. Luna, especially, witnessed my distress. I wanted to instead model to her a mujer who lived with intention, loved herself and filled her cup to then pour abundantly out to her comunidad. In my transformation, I found my mission, got my LLC, and began building Soleil Vida Studio.
